what i'm up to.:

i don’t post much on this blog, i post mostly on my portfolio,

over the past few months i have designed attire for an MMA cage fighter,

designed logo’s for a few charity fundraisers,

and I’m currently working on designing logos and text for a laminate flooring installation company so they can have said art/logo’s put on there company vans.

1, In a world where Umbrellas’ don’t exist…“Um” is someone who cant be missed.

2, he searches for a job…he cant find any, “it seems there mustn’t be many?”.

3, “no one will employ me with this thing on my head” Um said.

4, “How can I use what I’ve got? …maybe i could block the sun?-Jackpot!”

5, “Mr Mr! could I block the sun for a trade? Maybe for a slice of cake you‘ve made?”

6, “I enjoy the suns rays, come back some other days”.

7, Um goes home to think, “back to the drawing board with a drink.”

8, the next day the sun has gone, and down the rain pours…Rain is something Um adores.

9, “the rain the rain I cannot cope, may I walk beside you, I’ll give you a posh bar of soap?”

10, Um agrees and walks with ease .

11, “thank you, thank you, I may need you again, I‘ll tel others what you can do whilst on the train”

12, over the next few week Um’s picks up little jobs, one sat under a patio table for a trade of corn on the cob.

13, and another one defending the breeze, for a lovely bit of cheese.

14, “making use of what I have was key for me!” said Um as he paddles in the sea.

Early November, Me and my dad has volunteered to build/create the parts for the township of Heywood’s Christmas float, we built a sleigh and Christmas workshop out of mdf and painted it, we built a few other items also. it was a success and the float traveled through the town for the big switch on with crowds of 300+.

I’ve been a bit quiet on here recently, but I’ve been doing some voluntary work for Heywood township,
Me and my Dad have been building a lift size Christmas sleigh and Christmas workshop for the children of the town for the Heywood Christmas float/Christmas light switch on. I shall be uploading more development images in the next few days but this is the general feel of the project. The sleigh and workshop will be in the back of a 40 foot long articulated lorry, and we will be having someone dressed as Santa on it, the diagram isn’t great because I did it in less than 30mins but it gives a decent indication. Since working on the voluntary work, the owner of the companies basement we made it in offered me an 8 week job there so I’m temporarily working for them, also I took up a job opportunity with greenwoods menswear to wear there suits at wedding fairs. So the next 8 week will be non stop with 2 jobs.
